Petroleum Economist informed that Tehran and Beijing agreed on USD 400 billion investment of China in oil, gas, petrochemical and transportation industries of Iran. This agreement was signed in 2016 and now Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Iranian Foreign Minister, travelled to China in order to improve this agreement. According to a reliable source in Iran Ministry of Oil, many parts of this new agreement will not be declared in public and it is worth mentioning that it has significant effects on global oil and gas market.

This agreement continues 25 years and a significant part of Chinese investment will be paid to Iran in the first 5 years. USD 280 billion in oil and gas industry and USD 120 billion is related to transportation.
