According to Sputnik, Iraq have to buy energy from Iran otherwise it can support the required electricity of its country. On the other hand Iraq is under pressure of US to stop importing of energy from Iran.
Marshall Billingslea, Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing in the United States Department of the Treasury, asked Iraq not to purchase energy from Iran anymore. He added that US knows Iraq’s requirement to buy electricity from Iran but it should become self-stuffiest in energy producing as fast as possible.
