US is intending to increase customs tariffs on USD 250 billion of Chinese goods starting from October 15 (next week) from 25% to 30%. This has been the driver of trade negotiations this week for both sides to negotiate and try to reach an agreement.

At the invitation of the US side, Chinese Vice Premier Liu He will lead a Chinese delegation to visit Washington for a new round of the China-US high-level economic and trade consultations from October 10 to 11.

The market is doubtful about the upcoming talks. Particularly, US’s yesterday action, adding 30 Chinese companies to its blacklist excusing Chinese Moslems have created such a negative context.
