Iran receives USD17 billion from selling petrochemical products. Iran manufactures 31 million MT of petrochemicals and 22 million MT of this which worth USD12 billion is exported to 30 different countries across the globe. It is expected that Iran will increase its petrochemical output by two times until 2024.
Globally crude oil production grows 1% annually while petrochemical output growth is 9%. Also USD3800 billion of petrochemical products are traded per year worldwide and Iran as the first source of gas and fourth source of oil in the world can significantly improve its role in this industry.
