Because of different reasons like avoiding cheap selling and raw mineral selling, and to clarify the exact export volume, Iranian authorities decided to levy 25% duty on export of concentrates and pellets.
The mineral’s producers who are active in steel industry and do not export iron ore, will not suffer from these new duties. While the small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) that are mainly active in produce and export of concentrate and pellets can difficulty pay 25% duty! Many of these SMEs had started to produce pellets and concentrates on 2013. Many new SMEs that started their job less than two years ago will face many problems by the start of this sudden rule on September 23rd 2019.
