According to the most recent statistics published by American Statistics Association, the business exchange between Iran and US has had a 70% drop in the first 7 month of 2019 in comparison to the same period last year. This index for 2018 was over USD 160.1 million which has been decreased to USD 49million. Based on this report, Iran’s export to USD in January till July 2019 was USD 47.8 million which is approximately half the amount last year. In 2018, January to July, over USD 97.8 million goods were exported to Iran. US’s import from Iran also experienced a 98% fall and reached USD 1.2 million. Iran’s export to US was USD 62.3 million in the same period last year.
Business exchange of countries includes a very low volume of countries’ total business. Iran is ranked as 158th export destination of US and among its import sources is in rank 202.
