German Chancellor Angela Merkel about the unexpected travel of Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif to France said that there is a question whether it is possible to find a way to ease off the tensions between US and Iran or not? And if nothing happens, Iran may leave the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) completely which is frightful. She continued that talks between Iran and France were “parallel” but not officially part of the G7 Summit. She was only informed shortly before Mr Zarif arrived to France.

Tensions between the US and Iran have increased  since Mr. Trump withdrew from JCPOA and then Donald Trump has pursued a policy of “maximum pressure” and is hopeful that Iran economic problems will force its regime to accept a more limited deal.
